WA: Rose to hold another garden party
PERTH, Feb 14 AAP - Almost 10 years after the death of her former husband, Rose Porteousis to throw a garden party at her Perth mansion.
The colourful Perth socialite is planning a "garden day" and garage sale, saying the$10 entry fee will go to a Perth hospital and a community radio station.
Ms Porteous said it was a chance for the public to take "a picnic rug and an emptytummy" and enjoy the view from Prix d'Amour, which overlooks the Swan River.
Guests will be able to tour the house, which Ms Porteous has said she plans to bulldozeto build luxury units.
On sale in her huge garage will be "exclusive signature one-off fabrics" from Ms Porteous'bridal shop, which she closed last year.
"This first time fair leniency will give everyone ample time to see and feel how guestsenter Prix d'Amour as per its guidelines of hospitality and right etiquette," she said.
The event will be on March 10.
Ms Porteous has been accused in a coroner's court of deliberately trying to hastenthe death of her former husband Lang Hancock, who passed away in the guesthouse of PrixD'Amour in March 27, 1992.
West Australian Coroner Alastair Hope is yet to say when he will hand down his findingsfrom the 10-week inquest.
