Canada's Pathologists Issue Guidelines on Investigations into Labs.

The recently formed Patient Safety and Quality Assurance Section of the Canadian Association of Pathologists (CAP-ACP) released guidelines on investigations by health administrators into allegations of irregularities in laboratories (see also Hormones).

"These guidelines will ensure fairness and transparency, and that measures can be taken to prevent a recurrence," says Dr. Diponkar Banerjee, section chair.
