NSW: Waterways to review diving boat safety after two accidents

SYDNEY, Jan 13 AAP - The NSW Waterways Authority is to review diving boat safety after
two accidents in less than a week on the state's north coast.

Twelve people were rescued, and a 25-year-old Japanese woman was taken to hospital
suffering exposure, after a dive boat capsized and the group was swept out to sea at the
Tweed River on the NSW/Queensland border on January 3.

Less than a week later, six divers and their skipper were thrown from a 9.6-metre boat
into the Macleay River, near South West Rocks.
