Coffee van to help 'keep the peace'

Police in Glastonbury are hoping a coffee van can help bringpeace to the streets of the town.

They have drafted in a coffee van to help reduce anti-socialbehaviour. The initiative has already proven to be a success inFrome.

Founded by the Christian organisation HOPE, the van will featurefreebies, fairy lights and a chill-out gazebo, offering shelter,refreshments and a place for young people to meet their friends.

It is hoped the van will be in Glastonbury every other Fridaynight, from around 10pm, manned by local volunteers who spend thehours giving away free tea, coffee, chocolate and …
